Working for Direct Life
At Direct Life we’re keen to hear from suitable people to help us deliver our first rate service.

What is it like working for Direct Life?
Direct Life is small enough to ensure all employees count, yet stable and secure as it is a part of the Cardif Pinnacle Group of companies. We offer each new member of staff a comprehensive and tailored training package and frequent reviews with your team leader. In addition we work in small teams that enjoy a friendly, lively atmosphere focused on providing a fulfilling and enjoyable service.

We work in air conditioned city centre offices with plenty of nearby parking!

As well as a range of specialist roles we are generally keen to hear from people interested in the following roles:

Customer Service Advisers
You will work in our frontline, providing quotations and information to our prospective customers, both in ours and our partner’s names. The busy department services internet, telephone and postal enquiries from customers, dealing with a range of interesting and challenging enquiries.

To succeed you’ll need to be very customer focused with an easy going, hard working attitude to the team. Full training will be provided, but experience of financial services, protection or a sales role would be preferred.

Life Insurance Administrators
After completing your training programme you will be assigned to one of our administration teams and will be allocated either a range of customers or advisers to look after. The objective is to oversee the processing of applications, keeping customers and partners informed of their application’s progress and chasing up any outstanding information or actions to ensure the policy is finalised.

To succeed you will need some basic administration skills and experience plus a thorough and organised approach to your work.

Express Underwriters (both full and part time)
Express Underwriters are specialist underwriting experts who complete detailed applications with customers by phone and using one of the expert underwriting systems available to us. Calls are all outbound and booked in advance. This is not a sales role. To succeed you will need a caring and professional manner and an ability to decipher information given and record it fully and accurately directly onto the expert systems.

We have a variety of flexible working packages to fit around your life. As a bear minimum you must commit to working at least 9 hours each week – but working hours are available between 8am and 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 3pm Saturdays.

For both positions we offer

  • excellent rates of pay
  • four weeks paid holiday – increasing dependent upon service
  • 4 times salary as life insurance
  • a contributary pension scheme – after completing probationary period
  • company paid medical insurance – after completing probationary period
